Real Wedding: Meredith & Joe

Seventy-five family members and friends from every corner of the USA joined Meredith & Joe for their destination wedding weekend. The fun-filled events kicked off with a Pub Crawl at the Lucayan marketplace, followed by a rehearsal dinner at Stoned Crab, along with golf and a boating excursion the morning of the wedding.

The ceremony took place around the Neptue Pool with Meredith carrying an array of peonies, roses, freesia and mini calla lilies. All of the décor and centerpieces were reflective of her classic flowers and love for the Caribbean. Placecards were adorned with starfish and rested on a bed of sea glass welcoming the guests to the celebration in the charming Ferry House where linens of taupe and champagne pink accented the tables along with sprinkled sea glass and orchids. Their wedding cake of lemon and strawberry was accented with seashell designs. “Every single guest had nothing but the most wonderful things to say about the wedding, from the food to the band, to the flowers to the ceremony location-everyone just had a blast. Everyone felt included in the event!”

Real Wedding: Danielle & Rush

Dreaming of a casual, intimate celebration with their closest family and friends around them, Danielle Rodriguez & Rush Twilley searched for the perfect venue in their hometown of San Antonio, Texas. “The sites were gorgeous but did not feel like either of us. I threw out the idea of having a beach wedding…and thankfully, Rush was thrilled.” They quickly began their internet search and discovered Pelican Bay Hotel. The photos and real wedding stories sealed the deal. “We read about how pleased past guests were with Marva and could not wait to meet her and use her services.” And because of Marva, Danielle was able to plan stress-free and relax, “because Marva took care of everything!”

Gathering at Pelican Bay Hotel over Thanksgiving weekend 2007, Danielle & Rush hosted a dinner feast to welcome everyone and enjoyed quality time with their guests snorkeling, swimming and taking in all that Pelican Bay has to offer.

Real Wedding: Brittany & Matthew

Brittney and Matt wanted an intimate destination wedding surrounded by family and friends, but more importantly, wanted to be respectful of their guests' budgets. "Pelican Bay was the perfect size for a 50 person wedding - big enough for everyone to have their own space and vacation time, but small enough for two families to get to know each other in a couple of days time. Since most of our guests were flying in from Atlanta, it was an easy flight and moderately priced." Click here to read more about their events that included a bridesmaid luncheon at Ferry House, Rehearsal Dinner in Freeport, a romantic beach ceremony and a reception under a tent of twinkling lights reflecting off the blue sea!
